The 2025 Toyota bZ4X is an all-electric sedan offering a wide range of advanced features in addition to its 252-mile range. Keep reading to learn about some of the best reasons to take out the new bZ4X for a test drive.
6 Exciting Features of the 2025 Toyota bZ4X
1. Advanced Electric Powertrain
The Toyota bZ4X offers three trim levels: XLE, Limited, and Nightshade. The XLE and Limited models have a single electric motor that delivers 201 horsepower and 196 lb.-ft of torque. Both of these models are front-wheel-drive. The bZ4X Nightshade is all-wheel-drive and has two electric motors that output 214 horsepower and 248 lb.-ft of torque.
2. Multiple Drive Modes
For improved traction and efficiency, the bZ4X allows you to change the vehicle’s drive settings to adapt to different road conditions. Normal, Eco, and Snow drive modes are standard across all three trim levels.
The bZ4X Nightshade provides even greater traction control with three additional drive modes:
- Snow/Dirt
- Deep Snow/Mud
- Grip Control
3. Proactive Driving Assist
When you’re traveling between 20 and 30 mph, PDA can engage your brakes and adjust your steering to allow sufficient space for passing cars and pedestrians. Like Traffic Jam Assist, which is only available on the bZ4X, it’s designed to help you maintain a safe distance between the objects around you. PDA works by analyzing data from radar and cameras.
PDA is also similar to another safety feature, the Pre-Collision System. Although, these two systems differ in that the PCS prepares the vehicle for a crash.
4. Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
If the bZ4X notices that you’re accidentally entering a neighboring lane, it will alert you with a notification sound. It can also automatically adjust your steering to help you stay between the lines.
5. Digital Key
Digital Key allows you to unlock, start, and stop your bZ4X using your smartphone. You’ll need to have Bluetooth enabled on your phone as well as a 4G cellular signal.
6. Toyota Audio Multimedia System
The Toyota Audio Multimedia System is standard on all bZ4X models. It includes six speakers and has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay built-in. It also comes with a three-month trial for SiriusXM radio.
The bZ4X Limited has the option for a JBL premium audio system that features nine speakers and an amplifier. In the center of the bZ4X’s dash, you’ll notice a 12.3-inch touch screen where you can navigate through your apps, music, and vehicle settings. You can also adjust settings and navigate through menus with your voice.
