Meet the 2024 Toyota Tacoma

The Tacoma is ready for adventure, with standard underbody protection and an i-FORCE 2.4-liter turbocharged engine. When equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the SR trim has 228 horsepower and 243 lb.-ft. of torque and tows 3,500 pounds. Other trims with automatic transmissions generate 278 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque, with up to 6,500 pounds of towing capacity. Several trims are available with a 6-speed manual transmission, and these models produce 270 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque.

Most Tacoma trim levels are available with your choice of rear-wheel drive or part-time 4-wheel drive with a 2-speed transfer case and Active Traction Control. Standard LED headlights turn on or off automatically when lighting conditions change, and they’re more efficient and provide better visibility than halogen headlights.

Seating and Cargo

For 2024, the Tacoma XtraCab is available once again, with two doors and two seats. This model comes with a 6-foot bed, and it has a fold-flat passenger seat and an innovative storage system, so you can carry plenty of cargo. The Double Cab has four doors and seating for five, and you can choose a 5-foot or 6-foot bed with this model. It has a 60/40 split-folding rear seat with storage beneath and behind the seat.

No matter which bed length you choose, it’s protected with a resilient, lightweight Sheet-Molded Composite surface. To keep your cargo in place, the bed has four tie-down points, plus an available deck rail system with adjustable tie-down cleats.

What’s New This Year

The Tacoma was completely redesigned for 2024, starting with the TGNA-F chassis, which is the same platform used in the Land Cruiser, Sequoia, and Tundra. Many grades have an all-new available coil spring multi-link rear suspension, which provides a better ride and sharper handling over all types of terrain. The Tacoma also has a new, athletic look outside and a comfortable cabin with intuitive controls.
